If you are using a flipped classroom approach in your teaching, you may want to record a presentation in Zoom and then share the link with your students in Canvas. 


To record a video in Zoom and then send it to students, complete the following steps:


  1. Sign into Zoom on the Zoom client on your desktop. See Signing in to Zoom through SSO for more information.
  2. On the Zoom desktop client, click New Meeting. 
  3. When you are ready to deliver your presentation, click Record. When you are finished your presentation, click Stop Recording. You will get an email when your recording is available in the cloud.
  4. Log on to https://telcit.zoom.us/.
  5. Click Recordings, then click on your recording.
  6. Click Copy shareable link. 
  7. In Canvas, navigate to the unit/week you want to add the recording to and click the + icon to open the Add Item panel. 
  8. Select External URL from the list. Paste the Zoom link and enter a name in the Page name field. Ensure that Load in the new tab is selected. 
  9. Click Add item. 
  10. To allow students to view the link, toggle the publish icon so it has a green tick.
