Error message: 
401 - v=2.0;clid=aw1;rid=INT_5016d151cd55fe54 Unauthorized Sorry, your session was expired. Please refresh the page or login again

This is a known issue with the Firefox browser and is caused by the browser's Enhanced Tracking Protection setting which prevents Zoom from validating the Canvas login credentials required to launch sessions correctly.

It is recommended that users switch to another supported web browser - Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge - when using Canvas.

Alternatively, if you have scheduled your Zoom classes in Canvas you will be able to start these from within your Zoom account (rather than launching from Canvas). More details below:



Launching Zoom classes from your Zoom account


Any Zoom sessions that you have scheduled in Canvas will also be available within your Zoom account.

Launch Zoom from the client

  1. Open the Zoom desktop client
  2. Click Sign In with SSO - If you are already signed into Canvas you will be automatically signed into Zoom once you click to sign in with SSO
  3. On the MTU SSO login page, Enter telcit in the Company Domain field and click Continue.
  4. Login with your MTU staff number MSNumber@mtu.ie (eg. MS0012345@mtu.ie) and password and confirm your identity via MFA.
  5. Once you have logged in : Go to the Meetings tab
  6. Select the Zoom session and click Start

Launch Zoom from your browser

  1. In your browser open https://telcit.zoom.us/ 
  2. Click Sign In
  3. On the MTU SSO login page, Enter telcit in the Company Domain field and click Continue.
  4. If prompted:Login with your MTU staff number MSNumber@mtu.ie (eg. MS0012345@mtu.ie) and password and confirm your identity via MFA.
  5. Go to https://telcit.zoom.us/meeting#/upcoming
  6. Select the Zoom session and click Start
