Closed Book Exams involves the use of a remote proctoring or online invigilation service, accessed via Canvas, to authenticate students and to ensure the integrity of the assessment environment for a closed-book exam.
Due to the additional technical requirements and efforts associated with closed book exams, these are only available in cases where there is a third party or professional body requirement for an invigilated terminal exam accompanying the CIT assessment. A formal letter outlining the assessment requirements from said professional body is required in order to facilitate an online invigilated closed book exam.
Student submissions against this exam require that students write their answers for the exam questions and upload photographs of these to Canvas using the Canvas student app.
